2023 was a warm vintage in the high-altitude areas of Mendoza, but with cool nights, which allowed the Malbec grapes to ripen evenly and maintain a good acid balance and aromatic intensity. These conditions gave the wine a fruity but not overpowering character. The aroma is dominated by black plums, blackberries, and blueberries, along with violets, light spice notes, and a delicate touch of vanilla and oak. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, with soft, round tannins and a juicy fruit profile. The finish is quite long, with a lingering sensation of dark berries and a hint of spice.

About the manufacturer

Rutini Wines is one of Argentina's most historically significant wineries, founded in 1885 by Felipe Rutini in Mendoza. From the very beginning, their goal was to transfer European winemaking experience to the foothills of the Andes and demonstrate that Mendoza could produce high-quality, long-lasting wines. Today, the winery works with high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley and other areas of Mendoza, where high elevation, intense sun, and cool nights allow them to maintain acid balance and aromatic precision. Their philosophy is based on precise work in the vineyards, careful selection, and technological accuracy in the cellar – aiming for a balance between fruit concentration, structure, and elegance, so that each wine clearly reflects the character of the Andean terroir.
