The wine has an amber color and a complex aroma, with pronounced sweet notes of mango and tea. The taste is dominated by fruity sweetness, which is balanced by firm tannins and refreshing acidity, which gives the wine structure and a long aftertaste. This is a versatile and distinctive wine that goes well with a variety of dishes .

About the manufacturer
The San Donatino winery is located in Castellina in Chianti, Tuscany. It was purchased in 1971 by the famous French singer and poet Léo Ferré and his wife Maria Cristina Diaz. Since then, the family has renovated the vineyards and olive groves, and in the 1990s began bottling and selling their wines. The winery is currently run by Giovanni Stella, a young winemaker who oversees all production processes.

The winery has been certified organic since 2017. It uses traditional methods that allow the terroir and vintage characteristics to unfold without standardization. Fermentations are carried out with natural yeasts, and the wines are aged on the lees. The vineyards practice mechanical weeding, crop rotation and manual harvesting in 18 kg boxes.
