  • 100% Grüner Veltliner
  • Dry white wine, aged in neutral oak barrels

A powerful, concentrated, and elegant Grüner Veltliner from one of Kamptal's best vineyards. The aroma reveals ripe yellow apples, pears, apricots, citrus zest, white pepper, herbs, and a subtle stony minerality. The taste is rich and textural, yet maintains excellent freshness and tension. The wine boasts a deep structure, salinity, and a long, spicy finish. The 2019 vintage was particularly successful – warm yet balanced, allowing for concentrated wines with excellent aging potential.

About the manufacturer

Schloss Gobelsburg is one of Austria's oldest and most historically significant wineries, with a history dating back to 1171. The winery was long associated with the Cistercian monastery, and today it is managed and the winemaking is led by Michael Moosbrugger. His work is particularly important to the modern identity of Schloss Gobelsburg – he strives to combine ancient Kamptal winemaking traditions with a highly precise, terroir-driven approach. Ried Lamm is one of the most important vineyards in Kamptal, located at the southeastern foothills of the Heiligenstein slope. The vineyard has a good southeastern orientation, and its soil combines red Permian siltstone material carried from Heiligenstein with a large amount of clay. The warm, well-sunlit slope gives the wine concentration, while the geology provides structure and minerality. The vineyard is classified as 1.ÖTW Erste Lage – one of the highest categories in Austrian vineyard classification.
