The wine comes from the 1.5 ha Clos des Chaudoux plot, which is home to 45-year-old vines planted on limestone and clay soils known as “terres blanches”. The grapes were hand-harvested, selected and destemmed. Before pressing, they were macerated for 10-12 hours in an anaerobic environment to extract subtle and complex aromatic and mineral characteristics. The aroma is dominated by exotic fruits such as lychee, complemented by subtle herbal notes. On the palate, the wine is well-structured, with bright acidity and a pronounced mineral character. This wine is characterized by longevity and can be aged for up to 10 years

About the manufacturer
Founded by Serge Dagueneau, the farm is alive and well today in the hands of women – first and foremost their daughter Valérie, who continues the family heritage while bringing it to a contemporary level. Their approach is one of sensitivity and rationality, but also a strong, persistent love for the land. The family consistently strives for sustainability, having already obtained the HEV3 certificate and begun biodynamic trials, thus demonstrating that tradition and innovation can coexist harmoniously. The women who run this farm are true champions of quality, naturalness and a vision for the future.

This family is not only a new generation of leaders, but also women whose legacy goes back much further. Their grandmother, like many village women, took care of the vineyards during difficult times, ensuring the survival of the family farm and passing on a love of the land. It was not just a job – it was a calling that the current generation of Dagueneau women have inherited. Today, each of their vineyards, each bottle – is not only a reflection of the terroir, but also a story of female determination, dedication and the ability to keep tradition alive while boldly moving into the future.
