The aroma reveals raspberries, strawberries, redcurrants, pink grapefruit peel and subtle floral notes. There are also notes of wet stone, smoke and light herbal (thyme) hints. On the palate, the wine is dry, very fresh and precise, with bright acidity and a salty, mineral texture. The taste combines red fruits, citrus and a volcanic "salt" sensation, characteristic of Etna rosato. The finish is long, clean and taut.
About the manufacturer
It is no coincidence that Terra Costantino became the first organic winery in the Etna region at a time when the world had not yet discovered the extraordinary oenological microcosm of this volcano. Indeed, behind this brand lies a long family history of farming, based on a love for the land. More than 40 years ago, we learned about the fascinating history of this terroir: Dino Costantino re-established the vineyard in Contrada Blandano, where our winery is located today, and discovered that the spontaneous wines born from those 10 hectares of vines, growing on the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, originated from a centuries-old tradition, dating back to a millstone from 1699.
Although at the time the family business was focused on other activities, that meeting of man and land was astounding – a love that is renewed every year, at every harvest. Since 2020, the farm has been expanded with a new vineyard in Contrada Praino, Milo: 2 wonderful hectares of terraces on land that is naturally ideal for high-quality Etna white wine.
