The Shed Distillery – founded by PJ Rigney in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim, Ireland. The distillery is renowned for combining traditional Irish distillation with unusual ingredients from various parts of the world. Their main gin – Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin – is crafted from oriental botanicals, Gunpowder green tea, and fresh citrus.
The Sardinian citrus version originated from PJ Rigney's interest in Sa Pompia, a rare citrus fruit growing in Sardinia. This citrus grows mainly on the island of Sardinia and is one of the rarest citrus fruits in the world. It was combined with the original Gunpowder Gin recipe, so this edition retains the distillery's signature oriental and tea-like character, but becomes even more distinctly citrusy.
