The Barossa Valley is located in South Australia, one of Australia’s most famous and oldest wine regions, where the climate is warm, dry and very conducive to the Shiraz grape. Here, the grapes ripen fully, often from old vines, giving the wine a lot of concentration and richness. The aroma is dominated by dark berries – blackberries, black cherries, plums – along with chocolate, sweet spices and a light smoky feel. The eucalyptus notes characteristic of Australia come from the eucalyptus trees growing near the vineyards, whose scent and environment influence the aromatic profile. In the mouth, the Barossa Shiraz is full-bodied, warm and very round, with soft, ripe tannins. The wine feels rich but not harsh, with juicy fruitiness and a long, spicy aftertaste. This is a rich, characterful Shiraz that is easily recognizable and leaves a strong impression.
