This is one of the most prominent examples of modern Godello.
About the manufacturer
Virgen del Galir was founded in 2002 in the village of Éntoma, in the Valdeorras region of Galicia. Today, the winery belongs to the legendary CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) group, yet it retains its distinct identity and focuses entirely on the native Godello and Mencía grape varieties. The winery's pride and joy is the A Malosa vineyard, considered one of the best in the Valdeorras region. This 21-hectare terraced slope, dominated by slate and clay soils, imparts exceptional minerality and longevity to the wines.
