Foursquare is one of the world's leading premium rum producers, where each bottle reflects tradition, precision, and authenticity. Their philosophy is: "True rum is born from small batches, meticulously distilled molasses, and aging in barrels where every drop gains character." Foursquare prides itself on its small-batch distillation process – typically around 100 barrels per batch – and diverse aging experiments, including different types of barrels and spice infusions.
Foursquare is owned by the Seale family, who have been involved in Barbadian rum history since the 1650s. Reginald Leon Seale significantly contributed to the growth of rum production in the Caribbean in the early 20th century, and from the 1960s to the 1990s, the family acquired important rum brands, including ESA Fields and Doorly's. In 1995, Reginald's grandson, Sir David Seale, founded the Foursquare distillery in St. Philip parish, continuing five generations of family experience in rum production. Today, all traditional Seale family rums feature Foursquare as a key component, and the Foursquare label includes both aged rums and spiced releases.
