The aroma reveals the elegance of aged, oxidative white Port – dried apricots, orange peel, honey, toasted almonds, and caramel blend with subtle spice and nutty notes. On the palate, the wine is smooth, round, and creamy, yet retains a refreshing acidity that balances its natural sweetness. The taste is dominated by caramelized nuts, honey, dried fruits, and a gentle citrus freshness, while the finish is long, warm, with an elegant oxidative nutty undertone.

About the manufacturer
Vieira de Sousa is a family-run Port wine producer in the Douro Valley, with roots stretching back several generations. For a long time, the family supplied grapes and base wines to other Port houses, but later decided to create and bottle wines under their own name, thus revealing their identity. The winery adheres to the traditional Douro philosophy – manual labour in steep terraced vineyards, cultivation of indigenous grape varieties, and classic Port production methods with aging in oak barrels. Their style is characterised by elegance, pure fruitiness, and respect for time – in both Ruby, Tawny, and White Port categories, they aim for a balance between concentration, structure, and longevity.
