On the nose, the wine opens with the classic elegance of Nebbiolo – cherries, dried roses, raspberries, and pomegranate, intertwined with layers of smoke, tar, licorice, dried herbs, and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is dry, structured, and vertical, with bright yet precisely integrated acidity and firm, austere yet refined tannins that form the backbone of the wine. The fruit profile is more red and subtle – cherry, lingonberry, and rose petals, complemented by minerality, the bitterness of tar, and a slight tobacco nuance. The finish is long, complex, and aristocratic, with the characteristic "echo" of Nebbiolo tannins and great potential for evolution.

Vietti is one of the most prestigious and longest-running Barolo wineries in Piedmont, founded in the late 19th century. From the very beginning, this farm has strived not only for high quality, but also for terroir expression - the expression of the uniqueness of each plot in the wines. They are famous for taking the differences of local positions (cru) seriously, rather than just a common name, and therefore have an excellent reputation for consistently high quality and revealing the specificity of the region.
Vietti winery has been shaped for many years by Luca Currado, a fifth-generation winemaker who returned to the family estate in 1991 and, together with his wife Elena Penna, has built a reputation over the decades as one of the most important producers of Barolo and other Piedmontese wines; they not only oversaw production and managed the winery, but also combined classic traditional methods with expressive terroir, consistently developing the managed cru plots and the potential of indigenous varieties. The Currado family's connection with Vietti began in the mid-20th century, when his father Alfredo Currado, together with Luciana Vietti, established new directions for quality – creating one of the first Barolo Cru (Rocche di Castiglione) in 1961 and helping to establish the importance of local localities throughout the Langhe zone's winemaking, and later Luca continued this vision with respect for terroir and clearly structured, elegant wines.
