An expressive, rich and highly concentrated Piedmontese Barbera style red wine from the legendary single-plot La Crena in the Agliano Terme area. This wine has a deep ruby red color and is distinguished by its aromas of black cherries, plums, blueberries and blackberries, complemented by earthy, woody, smoky, peppery, sweet alder and dark chocolate notes, which give the profile depth and poise. In the mouth, La Crena is full-bodied, powerful, yet very precise, with gently rustic but well-integrated tannins and a pronounced fruitiness, highlighted by mineral tension and refreshing acidity that maintains balance even at higher alcohol (~15% ABV). The structure of this wine is firm and complex, yet elegant, and the long, lingering aftertaste with dark chocolate and mineral nuances perfectly reflects the character of La Crena terroir. The hills of Agliano Terme, where the grapes grow on calcareous clay soils and southern exposure, give a special concentration and intensity of aromas.
