About the manufacturer

Vitteaut-Alberti is a family-run estate in Rully, Burgundy, established in 1951. Founded by Lucien Vitteaut and Maria Alberti, their goal was to produce top-quality sparkling wines in Burgundy using the méthode champenoise. The second generation, Gérard and Danielle Vitteaut, modernized the estate, expanded the vineyards, and contributed to the international reputation of Crémant de Bourgogne. This cuvée is named in Gérard's honor.
The winery cultivates a balance between tradition and modernity, aiming to produce sparkling wines that reflect the authenticity of the Burgundy terroir. Sustainable and environmentally friendly methods are employed on the estate; the harvest is hand-picked, fermentation occurs naturally, and the wines are aged for an extended period on the lees to develop complexity. The Vitteaut-Alberti philosophy is to create elegant, refined, and age-worthy Crémant that uphold family traditions while also appealing to the modern wine lover.
