The wine's aroma is very complex and somewhat restrained: citrus (grapefruit, lemon), green apple, white peach, dried tropical fruits, delicate herbal notes, a waxy note, and pronounced "wet stone" minerality. On the palate, it is dry, with extremely precise acidity and structure. Fruit is not dominant here – citrus zest, grapefruit bitterness, mineral salinity, and a long, clean, almost "chalky" aftertaste are more noticeable. The 2017 vintage adds a bit more ripeness and roundness, but maintains the typical Heiligenstein energy.

About the manufacturer
Weingut Hirsch is a family-owned winery in the Kamptal region, where several generations of the Hirsch family have been cultivating grapes, believing that great wine is born not in the cellar, but in the vineyard. The current winemaker, Johannes Hirsch, works on biodynamic winemaking principles, considering each plot unique and striving to reveal its character as precisely as possible. The winery avoids excessive intervention – nature is allowed to dictate the rhythm, and the goal of winemaking is not to create a "perfect" wine, but to convey the history of a specific place, its soil, and the distinctiveness of the vintage.
