The aroma is very expressive but elegant: red raspberries, strawberries, cherries, and blackberries, along with rose petals, garrigue (thyme, rosemary), white pepper, olive, and light smoky spice notes. On the palate, the wine is silky, juicy, with medium-softer tannins and bright, fresh acidity. The taste balances between the purity of red fruits and a darker, spicy structure, with a long-lasting garrigue and pepper finish.

"Les Amoureux" is a cuvée from Xavier Vignon's Arcane series, created as a "love letter" to the Southern Rhône from the 2016 vintage. The wine is not from a single estate – it is composed of five different crus: Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Lirac, and Beaumes-de-Venise, which is why it is officially labeled as Côtes du Rhône.

Xavier Vignon is an unconventional Châteauneuf-du-Pape "négociant," famous for working with very old, sometimes even "anonymous" vineyards where many varietals grow together. His philosophy is not to showcase a single estate, but to create an idealized interpretation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape by combining different terroirs and concentrations of old vines. "Cuvée Anonyme" is his flagship wine – a modern, highly precise, yet classic example of a Southern Rhône wine, often praised for its balance between elegance, depth, and early drinkability.
