  • Alsace France
  • 100% Riesling
  • White dry wine, partly aged in neutral oak barrels
  • 13%

The aroma is dominated by lemon, green apple, white flowers, wet stone, and a light smoky minerality.
On the palate, the wine is powerful, dense, and structured, yet very precise – showing the influence of limestone, salinity, and a long, taut acidity. The finish is long, "tight," with great aging potential.

Clos Häuserer is located in the village of Wintzenheim, in the Alsace region, just below the slopes of Grand Cru Hengst. The soil is calcareous marl with clay, formed during the Oligocene period.
This is a warmer site where grapes ripen well but retain vibrant acidity. Therefore, it produces Rieslings that are both powerful and long-lived – often considered among Zind-Humbrecht's most serious white wines.

About the manufacturer

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is one of the most important names in Alsace wine, considered a leader in the biodynamic movement in France. The estate was shaped by the Humbrecht family (from 1950–60), and today it is run by Olivier Humbrecht – France's first MW (Master of Wine). The winery is known for extremely low intervention, late harvest, and a very terroir-centric style, especially in its Riesling and Pinot Gris wines.
